Right to Have A Union Representative Present. An employee shall have the right to have a Union Representative present at any time when the Employer is meeting with the employee for the purpose of discipline or dismissal or investigation which may lead to discipline or dismissal, and the Employer shall inform the employee of this right and give the employee twenty-four (24) hours to arrange for the Union Representative to be present. A Union Representative shall have the right to consult with a CUPE staff representative and to have them present at any discussion with the Employer which might be the basis of disciplinary action. If the employee waives the right to have Union Representation, the waiver must be presented to the employee by a Union Representative and signed by the employee and the Union Representative before the meeting commences.
