Right to Have a Xxxxxxx or Local Representative Present. An Employee shall have the right to have a Xxxxxxx or Local Representative present at any discussion with Supervisory Personnel, which the Employee believes might be on the basis of disciplinary action. Where a Supervisor intends to interview an Employee for disciplinary purposes the Supervisor shall notify the Employee, in advance, of the purpose of the interview in order that the Employee may contact a Xxxxxxx or Local Representative to be present at the interview. No Employee is required to answer to the charges without a Xxxxxxx or Local Representative present. An Employee, who waives his/her right to having a Xxxxxxx or Local Representative, must sign a waiver to this affect. A Xxxxxxx or Local Representative shall have the right to consult with a CUPE National Representative and to have him/her present at any discussion with Supervisory Personnel, which might be the basis of discipline.
