Right to Organize and Participate. Teachers shall have the right to join, or not to join, the Association. The Board and Association shall not discriminate against any teacher for reason of membership or non-membership in the Association, participating in lawful negotiations with the Board, or the institution of any grievance or proceeding under the Agreement.

Teachers shall have the right to organize, join, or not and assist the Association and to join, participate in professional negotiations with the AssociationBoard through representatives of their own choosing.
