Right to Retreat. If an employee who is affected by layoff, previously served in a lower classification than the one of current assignment, and received favorable evaluations in that position and if he or she possesses greater District seniority than other employees not otherwise slated for layoff the employee upon request shall be allowed to displace or “bump” less senior employees in the lower classification.
