Role of the HBC. 1) A consultant shall be mutually selected by the HBC and the District who will remain in a contractual and/or employment relationship with the District. If the parties cannot reach mutual agreement, the contract for the consultant shall be recommended by the HBC, subject to District contract approval processes and final approval by the Board. Such approval shall not be withheld except for good and sufficient cause.
