SALARY: CERTIFICATED STAFF. 1. Effective July 1, 2006, the following salary brackets shall be established for certificated staff: Bracket I $85,000 to $130,000 Bracket II $75,000-$95,000 Bracket III $70,000-$90,000 Bracket IV $65,000-$85,000 2. Effective July 1, 2004, the administrative title of record for each bracket will be as follows: Bracket I School Principal, Supervising Director, Executive Director and Coordinating Director of an individual area of responsibility and tenure area Bracket II Individual titles established by the District with specific job descriptions Bracket III Assistant School Principal Bracket IV Administrator Unit members in Brackets I and II earn tenure and seniority within job title. Unit members in Brackets III and IV earn tenure and seniority within the bracket. 3. A joint committee of the District and Association with equal membership will determine the placement of each title in accordance with definitions contained within the contract and will determine the application of the terms and conditions of this contract when a bracket reclassification is made. A. Effective January 1, 2015 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%. B. Effective July 1, 2015 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%. C. Effective July 1, 2016 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%. D. Effective July 1, 2017 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%. 4. Effective July 1, 2016 the work year for Unit members in Brackets III, IV, and non-tenure bearing grant-funded positions (sometimes referred to as Bracket V) will be the same as the District identifies for teachers. These Unit members will not be eligible for any vacation days or the July 4th holiday, but will continue to accrue illness and personal days as provided in Article 11. A. Unit members in Brackets III, IV, and non-tenure bearing grant-funded positions (Bracket V) will be required to work, as part of their annual salary, twenty five (25) days in July and August, or on breaks as provided in paragraph B. All certificated staff who do not work a twelve month work year shall move to a twelve month work year effective July 1, 2015 2010 and receive $2,000 added to their base salary prior to the application of the general salary increase. They will earn vacation days according to the contract, including the ability to cash in unlimited number of earned, unused days calculated at the rate of 1/260 of salary. Effective July 1, 2009 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.5 % except as indicated in 5, below. Effective July 1, 2010 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.5 % except as indicated in 5, below. Effective July 1, 2011 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%. B. % except as indicated in 5, below. Effective July 1, 2015 2012 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%. C. % except as indicated in 5, below. Effective July 1, 2016 2013 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%% except as indicated in 5, below. After June 30, 2011, ASAR shall have the right to reopen the contract for the purpose of salary negotiations. D. Effective July 1, 2017 the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0%. 4. Any active Bracket I employee as of July 1, 2021 and whose salary as of July 1, 2021 after the application of the salary increase for the 2021-2022 school year, was below $105,000 shall receive a salary increase to $105,000. Any active Bracket I employee as of July 1, 2021 and whose salary as of July 1, 2021 was between $105,000 and $110,000, after the application of the salary increase for the 2021-2022 school year, shall receive a 3.0% increase to the base salary effective July 1 2021, in addition to any other salary increases in the CBA, however, no one who received an adjustment to $105,000 in the clause above, shall be eligible for this further adjustment in this clause, nor shall anyone be eligible who was appointed to a Bracket 1 position between July 1, 2020 and July 1, 2021 with a salary of $105,000 or higher. 2. This retroactive payment will be applicable for unit members employed during the 2020-2021 school year who remain active at the signing of this contract or who retired on or before the date of ratification of this agreement. This retroactive payment calculation will only be based upon a unit member’s base salary and not any additional pay that may have been earned, such as summer school, additional hours worked, stipends, etc. C. Effective July 1, 2016 2021, the base salary of all unit members shall be increased 3.0by 2.5%. This retroactive payment will be applicable for unit members employed during the 2021-2022 school year who remain active at the signing of this contract or who retired on or before the date of ratification of this agreement. This retroactive payment calculation will only be based upon a unit member’s base salary and not any additional pay that may have been earned, such as summer school, additional hours worked, stipends, etc. D. Effective July 1, 2017 2022, the base salary of all unit members shall be increased by 3.0%. E. Effective July 1, 2023, the base salary of all unit members shall be increased by 3.0%. 4. Effective July 1, 2016 2022 the work year for Unit members in Brackets III, IV, and nonV shall be considered 12-tenure bearing grant-funded positions (sometimes referred to as Bracket V) month titles for purposes of pay, and will be required to work all days in which school is in session, and the same as following additional days: • The last 10 work days of August • All days leading to the start of school in September, excluding Labor Day • Spring and February Recess • All work days in June through June 30 Exceptions to this vacation schedule may be permitted with supervisor approval in alignment with staffing and operational needs. Xxxxxxx XXX, IV, and V unit members who separate from service with the District identifies on or after January 1, shall be held harmless for teachers. These Unit members any days not worked during that school year and will not be eligible subject to any proration of the aforementioned vacation days. Bracket III, IV, and V unit members shall not be entitled to additional compensation for unused days nor shall they be permitted to rollover any vacation unused days or into the July 4th holidayfollowing school year. Xxxxxxx XXX, but IV, and V unit members will continue to accrue illness and personal leave days as provided in Article 11. A. Unit members in Brackets . In addition, Bracket III, IV, and V unit members shall have an additional five (5) personal days to use throughout the year. The above personal days must be taken with supervisor approval. Unused days shall convert to illness leave, subject to the illness leave accrual rules in Article 11. A. The current annual salary of Bracket III, IV and V Unit members will not be adjusted and they will be eligible for any negotiated annual salary increases. B. Effective July 1, 2021, the per diem rate for Bracket III, IV and V Unit members shall be 1/260th of their annual salaries. C. Bracket III, IV and non-tenure bearing grant-funded positions (Bracket V) Unit members will be eligible to work Summer School. The District has discretion to select Unit members for Summer School. Unit members who are selected to work Summer School will continue to be required to workreport on days assigned by their immediate supervisors other than the Summer School days. D. Summer School i. Effective July 1, 2022, Bracket III, IV, and V Unit members who serve as Summer School Principals shall be paid an additional hourly rate of $50.25 for each hour students are scheduled for instruction while summer school is in session and up to two (2) preparation days, same hours, with summer school staff. This rate shall include any time spent planning or preparing for summer school before or after summer school is in session. Summer School Principals will receive one additional hour of pay for each day summer school is in session to account for opening and closing. ii. Effective July 1, 2022, Unit members who serve as Summer School Assistant Principals shall be paid an additional daily rate of $36.00 for each hour students are scheduled for instruction while summer school is in session and up to two (2) preparation days, same hours, with summer school staff. This rate shall include any time spent planning or preparing for summer school before or after summer school is in session. Summer School Assistant Principals will receive one additional hour of pay for each day summer school is in session to account for opening and closing. iii. Unit members serving in summer school will not receive any temporary bracket increase provided for in Article 5, Section 8. E. Bracket I and II Unit members shall not be required to work Summer School. F. Any Bracket III, IV and V Unit members with unused vacation days or vacation days in reserve from previous years may cash-in all or part of those vacation days at any time during their annual salaryemployment with the District at the per diem rate of 1/260th at the time the days are cashed in. They must be cashed in when the Unit member xxxxxx employment with the District including but not limited to retirement, twenty five (25) days in July and Augustlayoff, termination, or on breaks as provided in paragraph B. The resignation. These days may also be worked converted into 403(B) contributions, and the Unit member’s discretion. 5. Persons appointed to an administrative position must be placed within the appropriate salary range as full or half daysdefined in Article 5. TwentyThe District may place the appointment anywhere within the salary range. Members who are promoted will receive a minimum salary increase of 5% for each bracket they move up in the schedule. A non-unit member who promotes into ASAR shall receive a minimum 5% salary increase even if their salary exceeds the top end of the bracket.
