Attendance Award. Employees accruing sick leave for a full calendar year and not in initial probationary status during that year shall be eligible for an attendance award that allows for the conversion of sick hours to annual leave or a cash payout. Awards are given once a year to employees who have perfect attendance or use minimal amounts of sick leave according to the following schedule: Sick Leave used in One Calendar Year Award 0 hours 16 hours converted 8 hours or less 8 hours converted 21.1 All regular full-time and probationary employees are eligible to receive bereavement leave proportionate to their work schedule. 21.2 Up to three (3) days leave with pay may be granted by the department director in the event of a death of an “immediate family memberin order to attend the funeral or to family affairs. 21.3 Immediate family is defined as the spouse and the children or adopted children, father, step-father, mother, step-mother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in- law, grandparents, grandchildren, sisters, brother, step-sister, step-brother, of the employee and any natural or adopted child or grandchildren of the spouse. 21.4 Time off under these provisions may also be granted for the death of any other relatives of the employee who were living within the employee’s household at the time of death.

Attendance Award. 37.01 The Company will maintain a perfect attendance award program as per Company Policy #7.
Attendance Award. 71.1 Employees who have taken no sick leave for the entire school year shall receive a payment of five hundred dollars ($500.00). Perfect attendance is defined as not using sick leave for any reason.
Attendance Award. All employees shall be eligible for the attendance award in accordance with the provisions of General Order 6 – 10. The payroll year for conversion purposes shall be defined as any day of the pay period which is paid on or after January 1st and continuing through the last day of the pay period paid on or before December 31st of each year. Attendance Award. 38.01 Attendance payments shall be earned twice a year per the following, and paid each semester:

To be eligible, a staff member must have worked 15 consecutive years as a District employee beginning at the effective date of employment contained in the Board Resolution approving the appointment. If no effective date is contained in the Board Resolution, the date of the Board Resolution shall be used. 1. If the Unit member has used no more than 20 total sick days in the 5 out of 7 years immediately preceding retirement, he or she is eligible for the award. For purposes of this section, “retirement” shall mean eligibility to collect a pension under the Unit member’s applicable pension system upon reaching age 55 or through a disability retirement. Collecting a pension immediately upon retirement is not a prerequisite to receiving retiree health insurance under this section. 2. The award of $10,000 shall be payable in cash, deferral into a tax sheltered plan or into an account to be administered by the District for the member’s use in retirement to enhance standard health and dental benefits, or any combination thereof, until the credit is exhausted. 3. If the Unit member becomes deceased, a surviving spouse will have access to the remaining credit for health and dental benefits until the credit is exhausted. 4. An appeals committee, with three member appointed by the Superintendent and two members appointed by the ASAR President shall review and act upon any appeal from a Unit member that the 15 year requirement in this Article has been met.
