Common use of Salary Schedule Adjustment Clause in Contracts

Salary Schedule Adjustment. 1. Horizontal movement to the BA+20 or BA+30/MA columns of the salary schedule shall be based only on credits earned subsequent to the issuance of a Michigan Provisional or Continuing Teaching Certificate and after a bachelor's degree has been earned. In order to be eligible for a horizontal move on the Salary Schedule, transcripts shall be submitted prior to September 15th of each year. 2. Upon ratification of this Agreement, and for purposes of vertical movement of the Salary Schedule, a contract year shall consist of a minimum of one hundred twenty (120) days of which seventy (70) days must be workdays. 3. Credit for experience outside the school system shall be evaluated by the Board, and credit shall be allowed whenever the prior service of the teacher is deemed satisfactory. Full credit shall be given for the first five years of experience.
