Salary Upon Appointment From an Internal Layoff List. Employees who are appointed from an internal layoff list to a position with the same salary range from which they were laid off will be paid the amount in which they were compensated when laid off plus any across the board adjustments, including salary survey or other pay adjustments that occurred during the time they were laid off. Employees who are appointed from an internal layoff list to a position with a lower salary range than the position from which they were laid off will be paid an amount equal to the salary they were receiving at the time they were laid off provided it is within the salary range of the new position. In those cases where the employee’s prior salary exceeds the maximum amount of the salary range for the new position, the employee will be compensated at the maximum salary of the new salary range.

  • Appointment from a Layoff List 1.   • Rate of Pay on Appointment from Layoff List When an individual is appointed from a layoff list to a position in the same class in which the person was previously employed, the person shall be paid at the same salary step at which such employee was being paid at the time of layoff.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • Salary on Appointment Note: These provisions shall be applied in accordance with any administrative conditions that were in effect at the commencement of this Agreement.
