Common use of Salary Upon Promotion Clause in Contracts

Salary Upon Promotion. Using the salary scale in effect on the date on which the promotion becomes effective, placement on the Salary Grid upon promotion shall be as follows: (A) An employee whose grid step at his/her former rank was one or more steps below the floor of his/her new rank shall move to the floor of the new rank. (B) An employee whose grid step at his/her former rank was within the range of steps for the new rank shall move to the next grid step in the new rank.
