Salary range/scale shall be as specified in Appendix A for each classification contained within each of the units represented by the Association. b. Effective with the pay period that begins March 1, 2016, the County shall increase by three percent (3.0%) the A Step of each Civil Service job class range/scale in the Salary Table specified in Appendix A and attached to this Agreement. c. Effective with the pay period that begins on March 14, 2017, the County shall increase by three percent (3.0%) the A Step of each Civil Service job class range/scale in the Salary Table specified in Appendix A and attached to this Agreement.

Effective the pay period that begins May 21, 2019, the County will increase the current I step of each Civil Service job classification in the Salary Table specified in Appendix A and attached to this agreement by $1.15/hour. The County will then recalculate each salary scale in Appendix A from the adjusted I step to maintain an approximate 2.5% differential between salary steps consistent with the definition of Salary Range or Salary Scale in Article 3.2 (Definitions). Following the above adjustments, the County will provide a salary adjustment by increasing the adjusted A Step of each job classification in Appendix A, where the benchmark for those classifications was below the market average based on the County’s 2018 Total Compensation Study as of November 30, 2018, by fifty percent (50%) of the percentage below market average provided in Appendix B. c. Effective the pay period that begins June 4, 2019, and after the salary adjustments specified in Article 4.1.b above, the County will provide a salary adjustment by increasing the A Step of each job classification in Appendix A by two and eight tenths percent (2.80%). d. Effective the pay period that begins April 7, 2020, the County will increase the current I step of each Civil Service job classification in the Salary Table specified in Appendix A and attached to this agreement by $1.15/hour. Effective September 8, 2010, the classifications of Sheriff’s Captain (Correctional) and Correctional Lieutenant, in this bargaining unit (44) shall receive the same base wage rate as the Sheriff’s Office Captain and Lieutenant in the DSLEM bargaining unit (43). C. Effective February 24, 2009, the County will pick up1% of the employee’s share towards retirement. This benefit (Employer Pick-up) shall not apply to employees in the classifications of Correctional Lieutenant and Sheriff’s Captain (Corrections). D. Hourly Cash Allowance Effective the first full pay period closest to May 19, 2009, the County shall pay each permanent full and part time employee, in addition to their hourly regular earning rate from the salary schedule, a cash allowance of $3.45 per pay status hour that the employee is in paid status excluding overtime, up to a maximum of 80 hours in a pay period, or approximately a maximum of $600 per month. Such hourly cash allowance is compensation for services rendered in that pay period and shall be taken into account for the purposes of computing employees' final compensation for pension purposes, as well as all usual taxation as their regular earning rate from the salary schedule. It shall not be included on the salary schedule and shall not be impacted by future increases on the salary schedule. It is not intended as a supplement toward medical, dental, or any other insurance or benefit.

  • Salaries and Benefits (i) Seller shall be responsible for (a) the payment of all wages and other remuneration due to Hired Active Employees with respect to their services as employees of Seller through the close of business on the Closing Date, including pro rata quarterly bonus payments, if any; (b) and the provision of health plan continuation coverage in accordance with Legal Requirements prior to and through the close of business on the Closing Date; (c) all notices of termination or pay in lieu thereof, severance pay, damages for wrongful dismissal and any other employee entitlements, benefits or claims of whatever kind or nature for any Hired Active Employees who’s employment was terminated prior to the Closing Date. For greater certainty, Buyer shall be responsible for all vacation pay earned prior to the Closing Date as such amounts shall have been considered in the Purchase Price adjustments pursuant to Section 2.8. (ii) Seller shall be liable for any claims made or incurred by Hired Active Employees and their beneficiaries through the Closing Date under the Employee Plans. For purposes of the immediately preceding sentence, a charge will be deemed incurred, in the case of hospital, medical or dental benefits, when the services that are the subject of the charge are performed and, in the case of other benefits (such as disability or life insurance), when an event has occurred or when a condition has been diagnosed that entitles the employee to the benefit. (iii) Buyer shall be responsible for (a) the payment of all wages and other remuneration to Hired Active Employees with respect to their services as employees of Buyer following the Closing Date, including pro rata bonus payments and all vacation pay for periods which may have commenced prior to the Closing Date; (b) and the provision following the Closing Date of health plan continuation coverage in accordance with Legal Requirements; (c) all notices of termination or pay in lieu thereof, severance pay, damages for wrongful dismissal and any other employee entitlements, benefits or claims of whatever kind or nature for any Hired Active Employees i) who refuse to have their employment relationship transferred to Buyer after the Closing Date; or ii) whose employment is terminated after the Closing Date. (iv) Buyer shall be liable for any claims made or incurred by Hired Active Employees and their beneficiaries following the Closing Date under the existing or subsequent Employee Plans.
