SCENARIOS FOR SIMULATION AND SOFTWARE-BASE DEMONSTRATION. Using of various realistic simulation environments is essential for achieving comparable results at simulation stage. Therefore, total of six scenarios are provided by ThoR-project respectively one scenario in Hannover, four scenarios in Berlin and one scenario in Shinjuku. Five of them are defined for traditional cellular network. These scenarios are designed according to different locations, category of usage-based construction, population and typical density of Macro-cell sites (MCS) and Small-cell sites (SCS). The fifth scenario is designed for demonstrating a relay use-case requiring transmission of high volume of data over long distance. This scenario emulates an international attractive event like Olympic games or Football World Cup, in which the broadcast center may be placed far from the event site. In the following sub-sections, details of each scenario will be described and a simple overview of all six scenarios is summarized in Table 2. Each scenario represents beyond 5G small-cell deployment use-case. The scenarios are served as an outline to simulate and demonstrate wireless front- backhaul links.
