Common use of Schedule or Shift Change Clause in Contracts

Schedule or Shift Change. An employee whose schedule is changed with less than forty-eight (48) hours’ notice prior to the first hour of the new schedule will receive one and one-half (1 1/2) times his or her regular rate for the first eight (8) hours or ten (10) hour shift worked on the new schedule. Employees may trade shifts or days off with the prior approval of their respective supervisors, provided that no overtime pay is involved.
