Union Officers and Stewards. The Union shall furnish the Company with a written list of its duly authorized officers and stewards, on a monthly basis. The Company agrees to provide an office within the facility for use by the Walking Stewards and other Union representatives.
Union Officers and Stewards. Upon official request of the Union, Union officers and stewards shall be allowed to take time off without pay for handling necessary Union business by making necessary arrangements with their supervisor, provided that time off shall not substantially interfere with Company operations, and provided one day's notice of such absence is given. Such time off shall not affect the seniority of the employee.
Union Officers and Stewards. CSEA shall provide to the District the names of all officers and stewards. A designated CSEA officer or xxxxxxx shall be allowed reasonable release time with pay for the purposes of handling grievances. A CSEA officer or xxxxxxx shall make arrangements with his or her supervisor before leaving their work station to resolve or investigate grievances.
Union Officers and Stewards. The Union recognizes and agrees that the Unit Vice-President and Xxxxxxx have regular duties to perform in connection with their employment and that such persons must continue to perform their regular duties, and that except in rare circumstances, the business of administrating this Agreement will be attended to outside of regular working hours and with the least possible interference with Employer operations. Where permitted by this Agreement and/or as otherwise permitted by the Employer, before leaving their regular duties, the Unit Vice-President and/or Xxxxxxx must obtain permission from their immediate supervisor to do so, and when resuming their regular duties must report to their supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. All time spent in performing such union duties, during regular working hours, shall be considered as time worked for the purposes of seniority and other benefits accrued through time worked. It is understood that reasonable time spent processing a grievance will be compensated at straight time for scheduled hours at the Unit Vice-President and/or Xxxxxxx’x regular rate of pay. It is understood that time at arbitration shall not be compensated by the Employer, except where an employee is called as a witness by the Employer.
Union Officers and Stewards. 7.01 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to elect officers and appoint stewards from within the bargaining unit and recognizes that it is the function and duty of such officers and stewards to assist in the administration of this agreement.
7.02 Up to twelve (12) such officers and up to thirty-two (32) such stewards shall be identified by the Union to the Associate Director, Personnel Services from time to time in writing.
7.03 The Employer agrees to allow reasonable time off without loss of regular pay for officers and stewards so identified to assist in the administration of this agreement. Permission of the supervisor shall be obtained before leaving the job and such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.
7.04 Stewards, or recognized substitutes, will have reasonable time-off without loss of regular pay for the investigation and handling of grievances, within their assigned areas.
(a) Before leaving her/his department the xxxxxxx shall obtain the permission of the responsible supervisor. S/he will advise the supervisor of the reason for the absence and an estimate of the time required. As much notice as is reasonably possible will be given.
(b) Prior to entering another department to meet with a grievor the xxxxxxx must obtain the permission of the responsible supervisor.
(c) Permission relating to (a) or (b) above shall not be unreasonably withheld. If permission is not granted, the xxxxxxx shall be informed of the reason.
7.05 The President of the Union, or designate, may meet with new members of the bargaining unit following personnel documentation sessions to explain to new Employees the benefits and duties of Union membership.
7.06 The Employee Relations Officer of the Union shall have access to the University's premises as may be required to discuss matters of mutual concern with representatives of the University or to observe conditions at the workplace but such access shall not interfere with normal departmental operations.
(a) The Employer agrees to recognize a negotiating committee to be appointed by the Union for the purpose of representing the Employees in negotiations for the renewal of this Collective Agreement. The committee shall consist of a chief negotiator and not more than four (4) Employees or their alternates who shall not suffer any loss of pay for the time spent, during their normal working hours, in meetings with the Employer, or at conciliation, provided the Parties have made reasonable efforts to reach agr...
Union Officers and Stewards. The Company shall recognize a Unit Chairperson who shall be an employee in the bargaining unit who has completed their probationary period for the purpose of dealing with Union business as provided under this Agreement.
Union Officers and Stewards. The Union will keep the Employer advised in writing of the names of employees who are appointed or otherwise selected to act as Union representatives in any capacity. The Employer will not be required to recognize such Union representatives until it has been notified in writing by the Union of the names of employees appointed or otherwise selected to act as Union representatives.

Union Officers and Stewards. (a) The Union will inform the Employer in writing of the names of its stewards from time to time and the Employer will not be required to recognize the stewards until it has been notified in writing by the Union of the names of the employees selected, including the name of the Chief Xxxxxxx. Similarly the Employer will inform the Union of the names of Supervisors.
(b) It is agreed that the stewards have their regular work to perform. The stewards, however, shall be allowed reasonable time off without loss of pay to assist an employee with a grievance during the working hours. The xxxxxxx shall obtain the permission of his or her supervisor before leaving his or her job or work area and shall notify the supervisor upon resuming his or her regular duties. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. The Union agrees that the xxxxxxx will not abuse his or her privilege under this Article. The parties recognize that in most circumstances only one (1) xxxxxxx may need to be present during a grievance meeting.
(c) Should the xxxxxxx find it necessary to assist employees with a grievance during a shift when there is no supervision, the Union agrees that the xxxxxxx will not abuse his or her privilege under this Article.
