Common use of School Age Parent Leave Clause in Contracts

School Age Parent Leave. A worker who is a parent, guardian or grandparent of one or more children in grades Kindergarten to twelfth grade, or attending a licensed day care facility may take leave for up to eight (8) hours a month, not to exceed forty (40) hours in a fiscal year to participate in activities of the school (for example, a field trip or a holiday program or concert). The worker shall use accrued vacation, personal necessity leave, personal business leave, floating holidays, or compensatory time. If the worker has no paid leave, the leave shall be unpaid.
