School Secretary Duties. It is proposed that the duties of school secretaries be clearly defined by their supervisor as to their involvement in PTA activities, custom work for teachers, and custom work for principals. This is to save the school, the secretary, and others involved from undue embarrassment when misunderstandings arise as to a secretary’s role.
