Section 8.1.1. Unworked Holidays. 16 Employees 18 Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect 19 at the 17 time the holiday occurs. Employees who are on the active payroll on the holiday and 20 have worked either their last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and/or their first scheduled 21 shift succeeding the holiday, or are on paid leave for such days, shall be eligible for pay for 22 such unworked holiday.

Section 8.1.1. Unworked Holidays. 16 Employees 17 Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect 18 at the 17 time the holiday occurs. Employees who are on the active payroll on the holiday or on 19 authorized paid leave (sick leave may require a doctor’s note upon request of the supervisor) 20 and are not on leave of absence as defined in Section 9.7., shall be eligible for pay for such 21 unworked holiday. When holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday, the District may designate 22 either the preceding Friday or the succeeding Monday as a holiday.
