Common use of Seniority Rosters. The Appointing Authority Clause in Contracts

Seniority Rosters. The Appointing Authority. shall prepare and post seniority rosters and give a copy to the Local Association Representative each November and May. Upon written request of the Association, the Appointing Authority shall, within thirty (30) days, mail a copy of the then current Seniority Roster to the Association. The rosters shall list each nurse in order of Classification seniority, and reflect each nurse's date of Classification Seniority, date of Departmental Seniority, date of Bargaining Unit Seniority, and date of State Seniority. The roster shall also identify the type of appointment if other than full-time unlimited. When two (2) or more nurses have the same Classification seniority date, their seniority roster position shall be determined by total Departmental Seniority. Should a tie still exist, seniority roster positions shall be determined by Bargaining Unit Seniority. Should a tie still exist, seniority roster positions shall be determined by State Seniority. Should a tie still exist, seniority positions shall be determined by lot. The Appointing Authority and the Association may mutually agree at any time to correct errors of fact in a seniority roster.
