Seniority Rotation for Extra Trips. The rotation list for extra trips shall be the list of drivers and Transportation Assistants by classification seniority. At the beginning of each grading period the rotation list shall be posted according to classification seniority and extra trips then available shall be selected by classification seniority. When extra trips are posted, drivers and Transportation Assistants shall designate their selection in the order in which they appear on the rotation list. If an extra trip is postponed and then rescheduled during the same week, the driver and Transportation Assistant shall have the right of first refusal on said extra trip. The selection of extra trips for any week shall commence with the driver or Transportation Assistants who is next in line on the list from the previous week’s selection. In any week in which the number of trips exceeds the number of drivers or Transportation Assistants, drivers and Transportation Assistants shall choose one trip at a time in rotation order and shall continue to select trips until all trips have been assigned.
