Common use of Separation Review Clause in Contracts

Separation Review. The separation of a probationary employee will not be subject to the grievance procedure in Article 9. However, the employee may request and will receive a review of the separation by the Secretary or designee. The review request must be submitted to the DOC Headquarters Labor Relations Office within fourteen (14) calendar days from the effective date of the written separation notice. This request, however, will not act as a suspension of the designated separation date.
