Common use of Shift Modifications Clause in Contracts

Shift Modifications. If required due to turnover, injuries, hardships, reaction to crime trends or other exigent circumstances, The Chief of Police retains the management right to modify the shift and division staffing levels and schedules at his sole discretion. If a change is made to the shift or division staffing levels during the course of the year after shift bid, but more than thirty (30) days before the end of annual shift change, then the process outlined in section 2 without regard to the dates will be followed to rebid the shifts.
