Common use of Shift Operation Clause in Contracts

Shift Operation. (a) It is recognized that the Site operates twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week and three hundred and sixty-five (365) days per year. It follows, that staffing will be required on all three (3) shifts days, evenings and nights. To ensure an appropriate efficient staffing pattern as determined by the Employer it may be required that Employees work on any or all of the three (3) shifts. (b) The first shift of the working day shall be the one wherein the majority of hours worked falls between twenty-four hundred (2400) and zero eight hundred (0800) hours.
