Common use of Shift Operations Clause in Contracts

Shift Operations. Where the hours of operation require employees to be scheduled for work outside the standard hours listed in Clause 14.1, shift schedules shall be established by mutual agreement at the local level. The shift patterns shall be either five days on and two days off or four days on and two days off unless otherwise agreed to by the parties of this agreement. Once the shift pattern and the length of the meal period have been agreed to, the length of the workday will be as required to meet the annual hours outlined in Clause 14.1 of the agreement.
