Two Shifts Sample Clauses

Two Shifts. If a Journeyperson is required to report on a day job, after having worked on a previous night job EMPLOYEE shall not work beyond 12:00 midnight but shall be paid eight (8) hours.
Two Shifts. If an EMPLOYEE has to report to work for a day shift and is on a night shift when they are asked, said EMPLOYEE shall not work past midnight, but shall be paid for the whole shift up to eight hours.
Two Shifts. Where two (2) shifts are employed the starting time of the shift other than the day shift shall be 13:00 - 16:00 hours or 21:00 - 24:00 hours. Each employee will be provided with an allowance of a twenty (20) minute paid meal period within the limits of the fifth (5th) hour of their respective shifts. In addition each employee will be provided with an allowance of two (2), ten (10) minute paid coffee breaks during their respective shifts.
Two Shifts. When two (2) shifts are employed, the first shift shall be eight (8) hours or ten (10) hours and shall start no earlier than 6:00 A.M.; the second shift shall be eight (8) hours or ten (10) hours and shall start no later than 6:00 P.M. The second shift shall receive One Dollar and Twenty Cents ($1.20) per hour premium for all hours worked. Same One Dollar and Twenty Cents ($1.20) to be paid on all overtime hours at time and one-half (1-1/2) the straight time rate, exclusive of a thirty (30) minute lunch period to commence at the midpoint of the shift. The lunch period may be adjusted by agreement between the employees on the job and the Employer or his Representative.
Two Shifts. (1) Where two shifts are employed, the starting time of the first shift shall be governed by Rule 2, and the second shift shall start immediately following the close of the first shift or not later than 8 p.m. The spread of the second shift to consist of eight (8) consecutive hours including an allowance of twenty minutes for lunch within the limits of the fifth hour.
Two Shifts. For two (2) shifts, the starting times will be compatible with other crafts. The second shift shall receive eight hours pay for seven and one-half hours of actual work. Overtime rates of time and one half shall apply after seven and one half hours worked. Fringe benefits shall be paid on eight hours for the seven and one-half hours worked.
Two ShiftsThe Employer may establish two shifts of eight (8) hours or more on each shift for a minimum of five (5) days duration. The hourly pay rate on the Second Shift shall be the straight time rate plus two dollars ($2.00) per hour worked as a shift differential. Overtime payment shall begin to accrue following the normally scheduled quitting time in accordance with this Agreement.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Broken Shifts (a) An employee may agree to work broken shifts at any time; however an employee may be required to work broken shifts in the following circumstances: (i) in homecare; or (ii) in an emergency – including staff absence; or (iii) up to and including a 4 week continuous period for circumstances other than those covered by subclauses 14.4(a)(i) and (ii). (A) Where an employee has served a period of broken shifts in accordance with subclause (iii) the employee shall not be required to serve a further period on broken shifts until he or she has been off broken shifts for a period equivalent to the previous period on broken shifts. (b) A “broken shift” for the purposes of this sub-clause means a single shift worked by an employee that includes one or more breaks in excess of that provided for meal breaks, where the time between the commencement and termination of the broken shift shall not exceed 12 hours. (c) An employee must receive a minimum break of 10 hours between broken shifts rostered on successive days. (d) Where broken shifts are worked, employees shall receive the per shift allowance set out in Item 1 of Table 2 of Schedule B to this Agreement. (e) Payment for a broken shift shall be at ordinary pay with penalty rates and shift allowances in accordance with Clause 18 - Shift and Weekend Work, with shift allowances being determined by the commencing time of the broken shift. (f) All work performed beyond the maximum span of 12 hours for a broken shift will be paid at double ordinary pay.

  • Hour Shift A ten (10) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid thirty-seven and one half (37.5) minute meal period and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Work Shifts Employees shall be scheduled to work on regular work shifts having regular starting and quitting times. Except for emergencies (see Section D), employees' work schedules shall not be changed without written notice to the employee at least five (5) working days prior to the date the change is to be effective. Irregular work schedules shall not be changed without written notice to the employee at least ten

  • Shifts In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.

  • Afternoon Shift (i) Afternoon Shift is any shift where the normal ceasing time is later than 6.00 p.m. but not later than midnight. (ii) The additional loading for ordinary hours only shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the all purpose rate applying to the Employees' classification.

  • Split Shifts No shift shall be split for a period longer than the regularly scheduled meal and rest periods as provided for in Article 14.08.

  • Time Off Between Shifts Failure to provide the minimum number of hours between the commencement of an employee's scheduled shift and the commencement of such employee's next scheduled shift shall result in payment of one and one-half (1½) times the employee's regular straight time hourly rate for only those hours which reduce the minimum hour period. Where the minimum period is reduced as a result of an approved change of shift(s) requested by the employee(s), such premium payment shall not apply. The minimum number of hours for purposes of this Article shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.
