SICK LEAVE AND ABSENCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM. The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service values all employees and is committed to a safe and healthy work environment that is supported through regular attendance at work. All employees are required to attend work regularly to ensure ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of all operations. It is important for all employees to be able to demonstrate continued ability to perform the essential duties of their position. The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service has designed a Sick Leave and Absence Management Program to provide financial protections to full-time employees absent from work due to non-occupational illness or injury.
