Common use of Sick Leave with Part Pay Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave with Part Pay. When a person employed in the classified service is absent from his/her duties on account of illness or injury for a period of five months or less, whether or not the absence arises out of, or in the course of, employment by the District, the amount deducted from the salary due him/her for any month shall be one-half his/her regular rate. The five-month period shall begin after all other paid leave is exhausted. No paid leave will be granted beyond this five-month period.
