Common use of Special Compensation Clause in Contracts

Special Compensation. (a) Employees shall be compensated for expenses authorized by the Chief Executive Officer and/or Director, Financial Services incurred on Library Board business. (b) Employees using their own automobiles on Library business shall receive fifty (50) cents per kilometre, or the current Library Board approved rate, whichever is greater, if the authorization of the appropriate Manager or Director has been obtained. Should an em- ployee use previously approved alternate transportation, the employee shall be reimbursed for costs incurred.
