Special Conditions - Underground Work:. (a) A minimum of ten (10) minutes’ smoke time will be determined by the conditions which exist at the particular time of blasting - weather, wind, ventilation, etc. After blasting operations, work will be resumed at the discretion of the Shift Boss. Any grievance arising from smoke clearing time will be referred to a Grievance Committee equally representative of labour and management. If necessary, consultation will be held with the person or committee responsible for safety.
