Turnaround/Periodic Leave. An allowance for turnaround or periodic leave will be provided on a "use it or lose it" basis. The allowance will be based on the following formula: 0 km to 249 km n/a 250 km to 500 km $175.00 501 km to 750 km $275.00 751 km to 1000 km $375.00 Over 1000 km $475.00 The mileage will be computed from the project to the dispatch point or employee's place of domicile whichever is closer. It is agreed that the above amounts will be paid only once for each turnaround. On out-of-town projects of over fifty (50) calendar days duration, the Employer shall provide leave every forty (40) calendar days. The extent of the leave shall be for a minimum of five (5) days to a maximum of one (1) week, or a number of days mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer's representative. The timing of the leave shall also be decided by mutual agreement. In no event will an employee receive leave unless they actually return to their place of departure. Living-out-allowances shall not be paid during leave periods. (Refer to Letters of Interpretation/Agreement - Periodic Leave - Turnaround)

  • Bereavement During Vacation Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with Article 12.

  • Cumulative Sick Leave The normal cumulative sick leave allowance each year shall be ten (10) days for employees on thirty-eight (38) through forty-two (42) week assignments. Teachers on eleven (11) and twelve (12) month assignments shall receive one (1) day per month up to a maximum of twelve (12) days each year. A teacher shall be permitted to carry forward the unused portion of sick leave without limit. The balance of accumulated sick leave shall be printed on the teacher's bi-weekly statement of earnings.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.

  • Work During Vacation Should an employee who has commenced his scheduled vacation and agrees upon request by the Hospital to return to perform work during the vacation period, the employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his basic straight time rate for all hours so worked. To replace the originally scheduled days on which such work was performed, the employee will receive one (1) vacation lieu day off for each day on which he has so worked.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours Solicitation of Union membership or collection or checking of dues will not be conducted during working time. The Company agrees not to discriminate in any way against any employee for Union activity, but such activity shall not be carried on during working time, except as specifically allowed by the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Illness During Vacation (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only)

  • Sick Leave Verification Process a. The new school district shall provide the employee with the necessary verification form at the time the employee receives confirmation of employment in the school district. b. An employee must initiate the sick leave verification process and forward the necessary verification forms to the previous school district(s) within ninety (90) days of commencing employment with the new school district. c. The previous school district(s) shall make every reasonable effort to retrieve and verify the sick leave credits which the employee seeks to port.

  • Holidays During Vacation If a paid holiday falls or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be granted an additional day's vacation with pay for each holiday in addition to his/her regular vacation time.

  • Employment During Unpaid Maternity Leave Where less than the 52 weeks Other Parent Leave is taken paid or unpaid, the unused portion of the leave cannot be banked or preserved in any way.
