SPECIAL SHORT TERM SHUTDOWN PROTECTION PLAN. 28.01 The Company may, upon forty-five (45) days' written notice to the Union, declare a special shutdown of all or part of a Department for a period not to exceed four (4) months, which period may immediately precede or follow a vacation shutdown.
