Special Topics. 3 hrs. Special topics courses consist of particular courses of interest offered by select faculty or courses which show a demand by the current student body. These courses may consist of reading or writing intensive courses.

Special Topics. 7.1. Federal Authorization of the Project and Addition to the SRFCP The project was federally authorized in November 2018 as part of the America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (also known as WRDA18). In May 2020, TRLIA and USACE executed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to provide USACE with TRLIA’s funds to participate in design, construction, and adoption of the project into the Sacramento River Flood Control Project. USACE staff continue to participate in construction. Their review of the project and post- construction documentation will be required before execution of an amendment to the 1953 MOU (i.e., adding the levee reach to the SRFCP) and incorporating the project into the O&M Manual. TRLIA will begin development of the draft 1953 MOU amendment and revised O&M language during the next quarter.
Special Topics. 7.1. Federal Authorization of the Project and Additional to the SPFC A draft amendment to the 1953 MOU has been prepared and reviewed by the USACE Sacramento District (SPK). SPK is awaiting CVFPB approval to move forward with processing of the amendment. The amendment will require review and approval by the USACE South Pacific Division (SPD), and their signature. Following SPD review, the MOU will be taken to the CVFPB board for signature, then proceed to SPD for final signature.

The authorization supersedes the need for Section 408 permission and USACE permission is not required to construct the project. In May 2020, TRLIA and USACE executed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to provide USACE with TRLIA’s funds to participate in design, construction, and adoption of the project into the Sacramento River Flood Control Project. Funds to support the USACE’s review have been provided and USACE is participating in construction oversight. XXXXX has submitted a draft amendment to the MOU to USACE and CVFPB. As of this quarter, USACE’s office of counsel is review the document to determine necessary process. It is expected that their review of the project and post-construction documentation will be required before execution of an amendment to the 1953 MOU (i.e., adding the levee reach to the SRFCP) and incorporating the project into the O&M Manual. In addition to the draft amendment, TRLIA has also submitted a construction completion report. The revisions to the Federal O&M Manual will be submitted this quarter.

  • TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE The Hospital undertakes to notify the Union in advance, so far as practicable, of any technological changes which the Hospital has decided to introduce which will significantly change the status of employees within the bargaining unit. The Hospital agrees to discuss with the Union the effect of such technological changes on the employment status of employees and to consider practical ways and means of minimizing the adverse affect, if any, upon employees concerned. Where new or greater skills are required than are already possessed by affected employees under the present methods of operation, such employees shall be given a period of training, with due consideration being given to the employee's age and previous educational background, during which they may perfect or acquire the skills necessitated by the new method of operation. The employer will assume the cost of tuition and travel. There shall be no reduction in wage or salary rates during the training period of any such employee. Training shall be given during the hours of work whenever possible and may extend for up to six months. Employees with one (1) or more years of continuous service who are subject to lay-off under conditions referred to above, will be given notice of the impending change in employment status at the earliest reasonable time in keeping with the notification to the Union as above set forth and the requirements of the applicable law.
