Common use of Stand-by Clause in Contracts

Stand-by. The employer may request the employees to remain on the job for up to two (2) hours on a standby basis. If not put to work during this two (2) hour period the employee shall receive two (2) hours wages plus fringes, but shall not receive the $60.00 reporting expense. If put to work, employees shall receive pay for actual hours worked in accordance with the minimum pay requirements of this article.
