Standard Time Frame. The Integrated Administrative Hearing Office shall conduct a phone or in-person hearing and render a decision as expeditiously as the member’s condition requires, but always within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of auto-forwarded appeal for Medicaid drug coverage matters and for all other matters within ninety (90) calendar days from the date the Member requests an appeal with the participating plan. Cases involving appeals for Medicare Part B drugs will be resolved in a timeframe consistent with the timeframe employed by the Medicare Independent Review Entity for those items. Continuances or adjournments requested by the appellant and granted by the IAHO upon a finding of good cause do not count towards this time frame.
