Crib Time. (i) When an Employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of twenty minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration.
(ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.
Crib Time. 17.6.1 An employee working overtime shall be allowed a crib time of 20 minutes without deduction of pay after each four hours of overtime worked provided the employee continues working after such crib time.
17.6.2 Provided that where a day worker is required to work overtime on a Saturday the first prescribed crib time shall if occurring between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm be paid at ordinary rates.
17.6.3 Where the period of overtime is more than two hours an employee before starting overtime after working ordinary hours shall be allowed a crib break of 20 minutes which shall be paid for at ordinary rates. The Company and employee may agree to any variation of this provision to meet the circumstances of the work in hand provided that the Company shall not be required to make any payment in respect of any time allowed in excess of 20 minutes.

Unless the period of overtime is less than one and a half hours an employee before starting overtime after working ordinary hours shall be allowed a meal break of 20 minutes which shall be paid at ordinary rates. An employer and employee may agree to any variation of this provision to meet the circumstances of the work in hand provided that the employer shall not be required to make any payment in respect of any time allowed in excess of 20 minutes.

Where an employee elects not to take the prescribed crib time, that employee will not be entitled to payment in lieu of the taking of the prescribed crib time. For the purposes of this sub-clause ‘usual ceasing time’ is at the end of ordinary hours inclusive of time worked for accrual purposes.
Crib Time. An employee working overtime at the end of their normal day shall be allowed a crib time of twenty minutes without deduction of pay after four hours of overtime worked if the employee continues work after such crib time.

The Employer and Employee may agree to any variation of this provision to meet the circumstances of the work in hand provided that the Employer shall not be required to make any payment in respect of any time allowed in excess of twenty minutes.
Crib Time. Where Employees are regularly unable to take their meal breaks (including because the Employee is not entitled to leave the xxxx for their meal break), a 'crib time' arrangement will operate. The crib time arrangement entitles an Employee to a paid meal interval of not less than 20 minutes to commence between three hours and five hours of duty.
Crib Time. An employee working overtime shall be allowed a 20 minute rest break without deduction of pay after each four (4) hours of overtime worked. The crib break only applies when the employee continues to work after the four (4) hours of overtime.
Crib Time. Saturday or Sunday
5.7.4.1 An employee working overtime on a Saturday or working on a Sunday will be allowed a paid crib time of twenty minutes after four hours work, to be paid for at the ordinary rate of pay but this provision will not prevent any arrangements being made for the taking of a 30 minute meal period, the time in addition to the paid twenty minutes being without pay.
5.7.4.2 In the event of an employee being required to work in excess of a further four hours, the employee will be allowed to take a paid crib time of 30 minutes which will be paid at the ordinary rate of pay.

(b) Unless the period of overtime is less than two hours an Employee, before starting overtime after working his or her ordinary hours, will be allowed a meal break of twenty minutes which will be paid at ordinary rates.
(c) The officer in charge and the Employee may agree to any variation of this provision to meet the circumstances of the work in hand but the Agency will not be required to make any payment in respect of any time allowed in excess of twenty minutes.
