Standard Transactions Sample Clauses
Standard Transactions. “Standard Transactions” means the electronic health care transactions for which HIPAA standards have been established, as set forth in 45 C.F.R., Parts 160-162.
Standard Transactions. If Business Associate conducts any Standard Transactions on behalf of Covered Entity, Business Associate shall comply with the applicable requirements of 45 CFR Parts 160-162.
Standard Transactions. Under HIPAA, the US Department of Health and Human Services has adopted certain standard transactions for the electronic exchange of health care data (“Standard Transactions”). If Contractor conducts any Standard Transactions on behalf of Covered Entity or RCEB, Contractor shall comply with the applicable requirements of 45 C.F.R. Parts 160-162. Contractor acknowledges that as of the effective date of this Agreement it may be civilly and/or criminally liable for failure to comply with the safeguards, policies, and procedure requirements, or any of the use and disclosure requirements, established by law.
Standard Transactions. To the extent Business Associate conducts on behalf of Covered Entity all or part of a Transaction, Business Associate shall comply with the Electronic Transactions Rule.
Standard Transactions. If, on behalf of LIBERTY, Business Associate conducts, in whole or in part, any “Standard Transactions,” as defined under HIPAA, Business Associate shall comply with each applicable requirement of the Transaction Rule, 45 C.F.R. Part 162. Business Associate shall permit LIBERTY to test the Transactions and content requirements in order to verify Business Associate’s compliance. Business Associate shall not enter into any trading partner agreement in connection with the conduct of Standard Transactions for or on behalf of LIBERTY that:
i. Changes the definition, data condition, or use of a data element or segment in a Standard Transaction;
ii. Adds any data elements or segments to the maximum defined data set;
iii. Uses any code or data elements that are either marked “not used” in the Standard Transaction’s Implementation Specification(s) or are not in the Standard Transaction’s Implementation Specifications(s); or
iv. Changes the meaning or intent of the Standard Transaction’s Implementations Specification(s). Business Associate agrees and understands that there exists the possibility that LIBERTY or others may request from D HHS an exception from the uses of a Standard in the DHHS Transaction Standards. If such request is granted by DHHS, Business Associate shall participate in such test modification. Business Associate further agrees and understands that from time to time, DHHS may modify and set compliance dates for the Transaction Standards, and that any such modifications or changes shall be incorporated by reference into this BAA.
Standard Transactions. To the extent Business Associate conducts Standard Transaction(s) on behalf of Health Net, Business Associate shall, without limitation, comply with the HIPAA Regulations, “Administrative Requirements for Transactions,” 45 C.F.R. § 162.100 et seq., and shall not: (a) Change the definition, data condition or use of a data element or segment in a standard; (b) Add any data elements or segments to the maximum defined data set; (c) Use any code or data elements that are either marked “not used” in the standard’s implementation specification or are not in the standard’s implementation specification(s); or (d) Change the meaning or intent of the standard’s implementation specifications.
Standard Transactions. BUSINESS ASSOCIATE agrees that to the extent it conducts all or part of a standard transaction covered by 45 C.F.R. Part 162, BUSINESS ASSOCIATE agrees to comply with all applicable requirements of 45
Standard Transactions. CHLIC certifies that it conducts any applicable transactions that are subject to the HIPAA standard transaction rules (45 C.F.R. Parts 160-164) as required under such rules.
Standard Transactions. If Business Associate conducts in whole or part Standard Transactions on behalf of Company, Business Associate shall comply, and shall require any subcontractor or agent involved with the conduct of such Standard Transactions to comply, with each applicable requirement of 45 C.F.R. Part 162. Business Associate further agrees to comply with any guidelines or requirements adopted by Company consistent with the requirements of HIPAA and any regulations promulgated there under, governing the exchange of information between Business Associate and the Company.
Standard Transactions a. If DDCO conducts a transaction on behalf of the Covered Entity that is covered under 45 CFR Part 162, DDCO and its agents and subcontractors will comply with the requirements of 45 CFR Part 162, to the extent applicable to the Covered Entity if the Covered Entity were conducting the transaction itself.
