Common use of Start-Up Date Clause in Contracts

Start-Up Date. For the first year of operating under this Charter the School shall begin classes on the same day as the Sponsor or at such other time as otherwise agreed to by the Parties. The school cannot open absent submission of all required Pre-Opening documents as specified in Section 11 of this contract. The School may defer the opening of the school’s operations for up to two years to provide time for adequate facility planning. The charter school must provide written notice of such intent to the sponsor and the parents of enrolled students at least 30 calendar days before the first day of school. The planning year(s) does not extend the term of this Contract. Failure to open the School after the planning years is good cause for termination of this Charter.
