- STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES AND INTENTS. 1.01 The general purpose of this Agreement is to provide an orderly Collective Agreement between the Employer and the Union, to secure prompt and fair disposition of grievances, and to prevent interruptions of work and interference with the efficient operation of the business, consistent with the terms of this Collective Agreement. 1.02 a) The Employer and the Union agree that in the exercise of each of their rights and in the administration of this Agreement, they shall endeavour to do so in a fair and reasonable manner.
