Status While on Sabbatical Leave. 1. A teacher on sabbatical leave shall be considered to be in the employ of the Board and shall have a contract. 2. A teacher on sabbatical leave will be paid the excess of the difference between the substitute's pay and the teacher's expected salary and any other full benefits provided by the Agreement currently in effect. 3. A teacher granted such leave shall advance on the salary schedule the same number of steps he or she would have advanced had he or she been on the staff while on sabbatical leave.
