Step One - Informal. A unit member grievant shall attempt to resolve the situation giving rise to the grievance by an informal conference with the grievant's immediate supervisor or other appropriate administrator. The Association when acting as grievant shall on its own behalf initiate a grievance by attempting to resolve the situation giving rise to the grievance through a conference with the appropriate administrator having lowest level of authority over the situation. Three (3) days shall be allowed for this informal process to resolve the grievance. If the informal process fails to resolve the grievance, the grievant may initiate the formal grievance process in accordance with the following:
