Common use of Step Two - Department Director Clause in Contracts

Step Two - Department Director. If the grievant is not satisfied with the answer given in Step 1, he shall, within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the answer, forward the grievance to the Department Director. The Department Director or her designated representative will review the information pertaining to the grievance and may hold a meeting with the grievant to discuss the grievance. The Department Director or her designee will render a written decision within seven (7) calendar days of either receipt of the grievance or the grievance meeting, whichever is later. If a meeting is held, the grievant may bring his chosen representative to the meeting.
