Steps in Formal Appeal Procedure. A. The first step is addressed to the principal or educational unit supervisor to whom the teacher(s) is/are responsible. This appeal must be made within ten (10) workdays after the disagreement or misunderstanding first occurred or within five (5) workdays after the informal session was held, whichever comes later. If the principal or supervisor was not involved in the informal procedure, a conference may be scheduled. In either case, a written decision should be made within five (5) days of the submission of the written appeal.
