Student Health and Safety. All state and local health and safety regulations and building code standards will be followed at all District locations at which the Point of Discovery School may be located. In addition, the health and safety policies applicable to all other schools (charter or non-charter) in the District shall apply to Point of Discovery School. Visitors to Point of Discovery School will be required to sign in at the school office.

Student Health and Safety. Should a student become ill while attending the Services, Yoga-Tastic will notify the Parent immediately and ask that the student be picked up. If the Parent cannot be reached within 30 minutes, the Emergency Contact will also be notified. The student will be isolated until the Parent, Emer- gency Contact or Authorized Individual arrives to pick them up. Yoga-Tastic will also notify the Parent if the Student Exhibits any of the following: Fever Vomiting or diarrhea Symptoms of a contagious infection such as, but limited to chicken pox, strep throat, measles, pink eye, rotavirus, roseola, COVID-19, ect. Excessive coughing and/or running nose Parent shall keep their Student at home if the student is experiencing cold symptoms that are not alleviated by “over the counter” cold medications. COVID-19 POLICY: Students that test positive for COVID-19 are required to self-isolate for 5 days and will not be allowed to attend the Services. Admittance back to the program will be granted once the isolation period has ended and the student has been symptom free for 24 hours. Siblings of the Stu- dent that tests positive will also be unable to attend the Services during the self-isolation period.

The Charter School shall comply with all applicable federal and state laws, as well as Board policy, concerning student welfare, safety, and health, including but not limited to the reporting of child abuse, truancy, accident prevention and disaster response, and the lawful operation of school facilities.
