Student Responsibilities The school provided Chromebook for the student is an important learning tool to be used for educational purposes. In order to use the device each day, the student must be willing to accept the following responsibilities: ● I understand that district officials have the ability to monitor my use of the device AT ALL TIMES IN AND OUT OF SCHOOL and that communications, files, internet search activities, and any other actions using the device are not considered to be private. Note: RCCSD does not have the ability to and will not remotely operate the camera on the device. However, students can cover it when not in use to ensure others are not. ● I understand that the device assigned to me is on loan from Red Clay Consolidated School District. All accounts, programs, and files are subject to inspection at any time without notice. ● I will be responsible for ALL damage or loss of the device due to NEGLECT OR ABUSE including dropping it, getting it wet, and spills of food or drink. ● I will not try to repair my Chromebook. ● At ALL times when using my Chromebook, I will follow the Acceptable Use, Internet Safety Policy, and Student Code of Conduct, and related policies adopted by the Board of Education, and abide by all local, state, and federal laws. ● I will talk with my parent/guardian about their ground rules for going online when not at school. ● I will notify the school principal and my parents of any damage to the device as soon as possible. ● I will charge the Chromebook battery each night and will bring my Chromebook to school every day or be prepared for remote learning. ● I will keep my Chromebook clean. ● I will not lend my device to anyone. This includes family members and friends. Note: I could be held responsible for any inappropriate content on the District issued Chromebook. ● I will keep all passwords assigned to me secure. ● I will only use my account credentials to sign into my Chromebook. ● I am allowed to connect to non-district printers and wireless networks at home and in public places. ● I agree that e-mail or any other computer communication should be used only for appropriate, legitimate, and responsible communication. ● I agree not to share personal information about myself (full name, address, etc.) or about my family, friends or anyone else. ● I agree not to search for, download, display, post, or distribute vulgar, offensive material or images described in applicable district policies. (See the student handbook and/or the district's Acceptable Use Agreement.) ● I agree to abide by all school rules that address electronic device procedures. ● I will return the device when requested, at the end of the school year or upon my withdrawal. ● I agree to not deface or destroy this property in any way. Inappropriate use of the machine may result in the student losing their right to use the Chromebook. ● I understand that identification labels have been placed on the Chromebook. These labels are not to be removed or modified. Additional stickers, labels, tags, or markings of any kind are NOT to be added to the machine.
University Responsibilities 4.1 The University will provide a room accommodation to The Resident for a period of one academic year or the portion of the academic year remaining when occupancy begins (limited to the subsequent fall and spring semesters) exclusive of the Winter Recess period unless The Resident is assigned to a facility that remains open during this time or is approved to live on-campus during Winter Recess. Services provided by the University begin on the official check-in dates for the specific area and include access to the assigned building and room. 4.2 In accordance with University policy, the University will provide staff that will help facilitate a living experience that complements the academic mission of the University. 4.3 Exclusive of unanticipated weather events and building system failures that may disrupt service and subject to the availability of applicable resources, the University will provide adequate light, heat, electricity, hot water and telecommunication services (limited to video and internet connection) to residents. Student rooms shall be furnished.
Health, Safety and Security 14.1 The Employer recognizes a responsibility to provide an environment intended to protect the health, safety and security of Members as they carry out their responsibilities. To that end, the Employer agrees: (a) to maintain a Joint Health and Safety Committee (the JHSC) with broad representation drawn from all sectors of the University, including at least one (1) person appointed by the Association; (b) to cooperate with the Association in making every reasonable provision for the safety, health and security of Members; (c) to take reasonable measures to maintain the security of the buildings and grounds while at the same time maintaining reasonable access for Members who have a need for such access at times other than during regular working hours; (d) to ensure that the Association has the right to appoint at least one (1) person to any representative committee whose terms of reference specifically include the health, safety or security of Members as they carry out their responsibilities; (e) to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, R.S.O. 1990, and relevant regulations thereto, as amended from time to time (the “Act”); (f) that Members may refuse unsafe work pursuant to and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Act for so doing; (g) that Members report any known or potential dangers to their Xxxx; (h) In addition, the Employer agrees: i) to provide Members with health and safety training, personal protective equipment, and access to health and safety programs, policies and procedures; ii) to provide resources for the JHSC; iii) to compensate a CASBU Member who is eligible to be, and serves as, the person appointed by the Association to the JHSC when that service is outside the period of the Member’s contract; iv) to provide training for the person appointed by the Association to the JHSC directly related to their duties and responsibilities in connection with the JHSC; v) to recognize a JHSC Member’s right to be present during workplace safety testing and audits and receive written copies of any reports and recommendations from the testing/audits and a copy of a draft report if one is provided to the Employer; vi) to recognize a JHSC Member’s right to have advance notice when advance notice is given by the Ministry of Labour of any Ministry of Labour inspection and to accompany a Ministry of Labour Inspector during an inspection and receive a copy of any report produced by the inspector. 14.2 The parties agree that all personal communications must adhere to the Personal Harassment and Discrimination Policy and the Nipissing University Acceptable Use Policy. Effective June 10, 2006, universities are subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). All records in the custody and control of the University will be subject to FIPPA with exceptions as defined by the Act. Persons may request and have a right to access University information or records. A record is defined under the Act as any record of information however recorded, whether in printed or electronic form, film, or otherwise and includes drafts, post-it notes, margin notes, hard drive files, emails, voice mails, electronic agendas, address books, and recording devices. 14.3 Unless required under FIPPA, and for the purposes of this Article, files are documents under a Member’s control and stored on University property, either in paper or electronic form. Such files do not include the Member’s official file in the Xxxx’x office nor the Personnel File of the Member in the Human Resources office. 14.4 On termination of a Member’s employment for any reason other than cause, the Employer will permit, by appointment only, accompanied access for a period of fifteen (15) working days (or longer with the agreement of the Xxxx) by the former Member or the Member’s executors to the Member’s files, whether in paper or electronic format. The purpose of the allowed access is for transferring required documents to other faculty, the Chair, or the Xxxx. Where files are not required to support continued student academic needs or ongoing operational requirements, the former Member or designate may remove or destroy their personal files. Items that are clearly of a personal nature or are owned by the former Member such as furniture, pictures, books, etc., may be removed at this time.
Agency Responsibilities Agency is responsible for (a) Agency’s use of Axon Devices; (b) breach of this Agreement or violation of applicable law by Agency or an Agency end user; and (c) a dispute between Agency and a third-party over Agency’s use of Axon Devices.
Department Responsibilities The use of sick leave may properly be denied if these procedures are not followed. Abuse of sick leave on the part of the employee is cause for disciplinary action. Departmental approval of sick leave is a certification of the legitimacy of the sick leave claim. The department head or designee may make reasonable inquiries about employee absences. The department may require medical verification for an absence of three (3) or more working days. The department may also require medical verification for absences of less than three (3) working days for probable cause if the employee had been notified in advance in writing that such verification was necessary. Inquiries may be made in the following ways: 1. Calling the employee's residence telephone number or other contact telephone number provided by the employee if telephone notification was not made in accordance with departmental sick leave call-in guidelines. These inquiries shall be subject to any restrictions imposed by the employee under Section 14.4.a. 2. Obtaining the employee's signature on the Absence/Overtime Record, or on another form established for that purpose, as employee certification of the legitimacy of the claim. 3. Obtaining the employee's written statement regarding the sick leave claim and duration. 4. Requiring the employee to obtain a physician's certificate or verification of the employee's illness, date(s) the employee was incapacitated, and the employee's ability to return to work, as specified above. 5. In absences of an extended nature, requiring the employee to obtain from their physician a statement of progress and anticipated date on which the employee will be able to return to work, as specified above. Department heads are responsible for establishing timekeeping procedures which will insure the submission of a time card covering each employee absence and for operating their respective offices in accordance with these policies and with clarifying regulations issued by the Office of the County Administrator. To help assure uniform policy application, the Director of Human Resources or designated management staff of the County Human Resources Department should be contacted with respect to sick leave determinations about which the department is in doubt.
Resident Responsibilities The Resident agrees to pay all fees specified, to observe all rules and regulations of the University of Connecticut and to abide by the Responsibilities of Community Life: The Student Code, this contract and any addendum, as well as other University publications/policies. Residents assume total responsibility for their room/suite/apartment/house and for the behavior and activities which occur within all assigned living areas. Applicants and/or residents cannot exchange money or favors for a room assignment. Failure to fulfill the terms of the above may lead to termination of this contract, removal from on-campus housing, and a community standards process resulting in a sanction, including but not limited to expulsion.
School Responsibilities Pursuant to §1002.33(8)(e), F.S., the School shall be dissolved under the provisions of law under which the School was organized. Student records and copies of all administrative, operational, and financial records of the School shall be provided to the Sponsor on the date the termination/non-renewal takes effect.
City Responsibilities 2.8.1 CITY shall make available to CONSULTANT all technical data that is in CITY'S possession, reasonably required by CONSULTANT relating to the SERVICES. 2.8.2 CITY shall provide access to and make all provisions for CONSULTANT to enter upon public and private lands, to the fullest extent permitted by law, as reasonably required for CONSULTANT to perform the SERVICES. 2.8.3 CITY shall examine all reports, correspondence, and other documents presented by CONSULTANT upon request of CITY, and render, in writing, decisions pertaining thereto within a reasonable time so as not to delay the work of CONSULTANT. 2.8.4 It is expressly understood and agreed that all work done by CONSULTANT shall be subject to inspection and acceptance by CITY and approval of SERVICES shall not forfeit the right of CITY to require correction, and nothing contained herein shall relieve CONSULTANT of the responsibility of the SERVICES required under the terms of this Contract until all SERVICES have been completed and accepted by CITY.
County Responsibilities 5.1 The COUNTY shall designate a COUNTY staff member to act as COUNTY’s Project Manager. It is agreed to by the parties that the COUNTY’s Project Manager will decide all questions, difficulties, or disputes, of whatever nature, which may arise relative to the interpretation of the plans, construction, prosecution and fulfillment of the Scope of Services, and as to the character, quality, amount and value of any work done, and materials furnished, under or by reason of this Agreement. The COUNTY’s Project Manager may appoint representatives as desired that will be authorized to inspect all work done and all materials furnished. 5.2 The COUNTY shall pay in accordance with the provisions set forth in this Agreement. 5.3 The COUNTY retains the right to inspect all work to verify compliance with the contract documents. Such inspection may extend to all or any part of the work and to the manufacture, preparation or fabrication of the materials to be used.
Contractor’s General Responsibilities The Contractor, regardless of any delegation or subcontract entered by the Contractor, shall be responsible for the following when providing information technology staff augmentation services: 3.1 The Contractor is responsible for the comprehensive management of Staff. Staff shall not be deemed an employee of the State or deemed to be entitled to any benefits associated with such employment and the Contractor shall be responsible for the administration and maintenance of all employment and payroll records, payroll processing, remittance of payroll and taxes, and all administrative tasks required by state and federal law associated with payment of Staff. 3.2 The Contractor shall provide Staff in accordance with Customer Requests for Quote (RFQ), and as described in Contract Exhibit J, Job Family Descriptions document. Customers may include detailed scopes of work, specific requirements of the work to be performed, and any requirements of Staff within the Request for Quote. 3.3 The Contractor shall possess the professional and technical staff necessary to allocate, outsource, and manage qualified Staff to perform the services requested by the Customer. 3.4 The Contractor shall provide Customers with Staff who have sufficient skill and experience to perform the services assigned to them. 3.5 The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that all information technology staff augmentation services furnished under the Contract meet the professional standards and quality that prevails among information technology professionals in the same discipline and of similar knowledge and skill engaged in related work throughout Florida under the same or similar circumstances. 3.6 The Contractor shall provide, at its own expense, training necessary for keeping Contractor’s Staff abreast of industry advances and for maintaining proficiency in equipment and systems that are available on the commercial market. 3.7 The Contractor shall, at its own expense, be responsible for adhering to the Contract background screening requirements, testing, evaluations, advertising, recruitment, and disciplinary actions of Contractor’s Staff. 3.8 The Contractor, throughout the term of the Contract, shall maintain all licenses, permits, qualifications, insurance, and approvals of whatever nature that are legally required for Contractor and Staff to perform the information technology staff augmentation services. 3.9 Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with the administration of this Contract. 3.10 The Contractor shall adhere to all work policies, procedures, and standards established by the Department and Customer. 3.11 The Contractor shall ensure that Staff conform with the Customer’s policies in all respects while on the Customer’s premises, and is responsible for obtaining all rules, regulations, policies, etc. 3.12 Contractor shall only provide information technology staff augmentation services for those Job Titles awarded to the Contractor and shall be paid on an hourly basis. Contracts resulting from this solicitation should not be structured as fixed-price agreements or used for any services requiring authorization for payment of milestone tasks.
