University Responsibilities. 4.1 The University will provide a room accommodation to The Resident for a period of one academic year or the portion of the academic year remaining when occupancy begins (limited to the subsequent fall and spring semesters) exclusive of the Winter Recess period unless The Resident is assigned to a facility that remains open during this time or is approved to live on-campus during Winter Recess. Services provided by the University begin on the official check-in dates for the specific area and include access to the assigned building and room.
4.2 In accordance with University policy, the University will provide staff that will help facilitate a living experience that complements the academic mission of the University.
4.3 Exclusive of unanticipated weather events and building system failures that may disrupt service and subject to the availability of applicable resources, the University will provide adequate light, heat, electricity, hot water and telecommunication services (limited to video and internet connection) to residents. Student rooms shall be furnished.
University Responsibilities. (1) The University will use its best efforts to see that students selected for participation in the ALE are prepared for effective participation in the training phase of their overall education. The University will retain ultimate responsibility for the education of its students.
(2) Prior to the commencement of an ALE, the University will, upon request and with proper authorization, provide responsible Facility officials with such student records as will adequately disclose the prior education and related experiences of prospective student participants.
(3) The University will use its best efforts to see that the ALEs at the Facility are conducted in such a manner as to enhance Facility client care. Only those students who have satisfactorily completed the prerequisite didactic portion of their curriculum will be selected for participation in an ALE.
(4) The University will not assign any faculty member to the Facility in connection with the operation of the ALE who is not appropriately licensed or certified, and will keep evidence of the licensure or certification of all assigned faculty on file with the Facility at all times.
(5) The University will inform all its participating students of the Facility's requirement that they must procure and maintain throughout the ALE professional liability insurance in amounts, form, and by a carrier satisfactory to the Facility and the University, and covering their activities at the Facility, and to provide evidence of such insurance to the Facility prior to participation in any ALE. University faculty members will be provided professional liability coverage pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Georgia Tort Claims Act (O.C.G.A. § 50‐21‐20 et seq.). The University will provide Worker's Compensation Insurance coverage for its participating faculty members. However, the University will not provide Worker's Compensation Insurance or other insurance coverage for its students. This paragraph will survive the termination of this MOU.
(6) The University will encourage student compliance with the Facility's rules, regulations and procedures, and use its best efforts to keep students informed as to the same and any changes therein. Specifically, the University will keep each participating student apprised of his or her responsibility:
(a) To follow the administrative policies, standards and practices of the Facility when the student is in the Facility.
(b) To provide the necessary and appropriate uniforms and supplies...
University Responsibilities a. University will assign to Site only those Students who successfully complete any necessary prerequisite courses.
b. University will assign a Faculty Supervisor to monitor the Student throughout the ELP.
c. The University is responsible to the Student for academic supervision and grading.
University Responsibilities. 2.2.1 University shall retain overall responsibility for the general educational experience of students assigned to Affiliate, including the following:

University Responsibilities. 6.6.5.1 It is recognized that the University has a responsibility to explore all alternative ways of preventing the lay off of regular faculty members.
6.6.5.2 It is further recognized that the University must have bona fide reasons for the lay off of regular faculty members.
6.6.5.3 The University shall not prepare budgets in such a way that any faculty position or alternative position is financially unsupportable for the purpose of bypassing the steps outlined in Article 8.2.1.
6.6.5.4 On or before October 15th of each year, the University will meet with the Association to present preliminary budget assumptions for the following academic year. The University will give notice at this meeting if there are budgetary shortfalls projected for the following academic year.
6.6.5.5 If notice was given according to 6.6.5.4, then the University shall, on or before December 15th give notice to the Association if it is expected that the budgetary shortfall will precipitate faculty layoffs. In the absence of such notice on or before December 15, there shall be no layoffs except in the case of a Program Redundancy.
University Responsibilities. The University shall:
a. Maintain in good working order any and all appliances that are furnished with the apartment except when the disrepair has been caused by willful, malicious, or irresponsible conduct of the resident or the persons under his/her direct responsibility.
b. Provide the following utilities; basic cable TV, water, heat, electricity, and refuse disposal.
c. Maintain the premises in reasonable repair and in compliance with the applicable municipal and state health and safety laws, except when a violation has been caused by the willful, malicious, or irresponsible conduct of the resident or a person under his/her direct responsibility.
d. Give the resident a 30 day notice to vacate the premise if any terms or conditions of this contract are violated or if the resident becomes ineligible for residence bases on the existing eligibility criteria or fails to fulfill the resident and family member responsibilities contained in this contract.
e. In cases where a resident’s and/or guest’s behavior threatens the health or safety of themselves or others or when University Conduct Code invokes academic separation from the University or the resident for any reason does not maintain student status as defined in eligibility criteria, eviction may be effective immediately.
University Responsibilities. Specifically, the University will keep each participating student apprised of his or her responsibility:
(a) To follow the administrative policies, standards and practices of the Organization when the student is in the Organization.
(b) To report to the Organization on time and to follow all established regulations during the regularly scheduled operating hours of the Organization.
(c) To conform to the standards and practices established by the University while training at the Organization.
