Student Support Office is the third level. When a student in distress is in level two but his/her poor behavior escalates (becoming a disturbance in a second area) instead of calming down; he/she needs time with the Student Support Office. Student Support Office visits are more intensified and individualized. The goal is still reintroduction to class upon regaining composure and counseling. This level requires a call or notification home regarding the offense which will be made by the School Xxxx. The student may or may not earn a detention which can be given by either the classroom teacher or the School Xxxx. This level does require that the teacher do a formal write up on an Incident Report Form (either check list or narrative form) for the student's file. A copy of this form should be in the classroom student file and given to the School Xxxx. • K-5: The first step is to call the School Xxxx and request that the student be picked up from the classroom. In the event the School Xxxx isn’t available, he will give alternate instructions. If contact cannot be made with the School Xxxx, next call the Principal. If the Principal is not available, next call either the Upper or Lower School Team Leader. • 6-8: Students can be sent to the Student Support Office with a note of explanation for the offense(s) that sent him/her to the office
