Subpoenas, Summons and Voluntary Appearances. When an employee is required to miss time from the regularly scheduled work week because of a subpoena, summons or voluntary appearance to testify in a legal matter (other than approved Company related matters), the employee must give adequate notice to his/her supervisor. An hourly employee may take time off as paid vacation or as unpaid excused absence. In case an employee is subpoenaed by the Company as a witness, he/she shall be reimbursed for all time lost and expenses incurred.
