Work in Other Classifications. Full-time and casual employees will be paid an hourly rate commensurate with the work they are performing.
Work in Other Classifications. When an employee is requested to do work in a higher rated classification, he/she shall receive the higher rate of pay for the entire day in which such work is performed. When an employee is requested to work in a lower rated classification, he/she shall receive his/her regular rate of pay for all such lower rated work performed. The Employer may utilize employees interchangeably in the various classifications.
Work in Other Classifications. No employee shall suffer a reduction in wages as a result of the exe- cution of this Agreement, and if such employee is receiving a greater amount, he shall receive the same increases as other employees.
Work in Other Classifications. 23.1 Each employee covered under this Agreement shall work only within his/her regular job classification. However, in the event of temporary vacancies or absences in a higher job classification, or a temporary, time-limited departmental need, the City may temporarily assign an employee to a higher job classification subject to the following provision: An employee temporarily assigned to a higher paying job classification shall receive a five percent (5%) increase or an increase to the minimum of the pay range for the higher paying job, whatever is greater for the period served in excess of forty (40) hours in the higher classification.
23.2 If the temporary acting position is for a substitution of an employee absent on authorized leave, it shall be understood said assignment may be in effect only until such time the absent employee returns, or until a job declared vacant is filled.
23.3 If an employee is temporarily assigned to work in a lower paying job classification, he/she will not receive a decrease in pay.
Work in Other Classifications. When a worker is permitted to work in another classification with a higher rate of pay than the position he normally occupies, the high- er rate of pay will be paid, and if he works in a classification with a lower rate of pay, the rate of pay he normally receives in his classi- fication will be paid.
Work in Other Classifications. The Employer will assign the least senior employee on the shift to perform work in a different classification if the assignment shall be for more than two (2) consecutive days. All other contract language for work schedules shall apply.

(b) Employees shall be eligible for work in any classification in which they are qualified and have passed probation.
(1) When an employee commences work in a different classification the employee shall be placed at the bottom of the classification seniority list at that time.
(2) From the day they first work in the new classification, the employee will be credited with placement into the classification seniority list.
Work in Other Classifications. An employee shall not be entitled to a different pay rate or additional compensation for performing work in a higher classification.
Work in Other Classifications. Employees requested to work a shift regularly filled by a higher classification employee shall, after 47 three (3) days, receive compensation equal to that normally received by an employee in the higher 1 classification, as reflected by the incremental steps on Schedule A.
