SUBSTITUTE TEACHING COMPENSATION FOR BARGAINING UNIT MEMBERS. Effective July 1, 2007, bargaining unit members who substitute during their scheduled conference/planning time shall be paid at the rate of eighteen dollars ($18) per occurrence inclusive of elementary staff when they must cover their own students when special teachers (i.e. physical education, music, art, and librarians) are absent. Special teachers shall not be used as substitutes in regular classrooms, except in extreme emergencies. The building administrator shall approve in advance all substitutes being used during individual scheduled conference time. It is required that all time used by an individual for substitute purposes be turned in to the building principal by the 12th day of each month to be included on the individual's payroll check on the 22nd of that month.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHING COMPENSATION FOR BARGAINING UNIT MEMBERS. Bargaining unit members who substitute during their scheduled conference/planning time shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per occurrence inclusive of elementary staff when they must cover their own students when special teachers (i.e. physical education, music, art, and librarians) are absent. Special teachers shall not be used as substitutes in regular classrooms, except in extreme emergencies. Teachers who supervise ten (10) or more students from another classroom for more than three hours a day when a substitute is not available shall be paid sixty-five dollars ($65.00). The building administrator shall approve in advance all substitutes being used during individual scheduled conference time. It is required that all time used by an individual for substitute purposes be turned into the building principal by the 12th day of each month to be included on the individual's payroll check on the 22nd of that month.
