Conference Time. When elementary or secondary teachers work during scheduled conference times, they shall receive a non-duty compensatory day for every 7 hours and 10 minutes of work in accordance with the approved calendar. All teachers are required to participate in parent conferences. Absences from conferences will be allowed under the conditions in Article 10 or with prior approval of the building principal.

Conference Time. The amount of time scheduled for the November parent/teacher conferences will be the same at all school buildings, and will not exceed a total of eight and one-half hours (8 1/2) hours, unless altered by a mutual agreement of the Board and Association.

Conference Time. A total of seventy-two (72) hours relief from duty in any one fiscal year may be used for the purpose of attendance at labor relations conferences and for Association business. When an employee is off duty, time off will be earned, hour for hour, for attendance at City/Association meetings. These hours are limited to and in conjunction with the above seventy-two (72) hours. The Association must give notice of intent to attend a labor relations conference at least one (1) month in advance of the conference, and must give notice of intent to conduct City/Association business prior to the business. Meet and Confer will not be considered in any of the above calculations. Department approval of attendance at the conference or Association business will be based on staffing requirements of the Department. At the end of the calendar year a maximum of thirty-six (36) hours of the seventy-two (72) hours may be carried over to the following year. If attendance at a labor relations conference is granted, then denied, the City shall reimburse the Association for any cancellation costs incurred. Approval or disapproval will occur within five (5) working days of request.
Conference Time. Students shall be dismissed from school on an equivalent of two (2) days for the purpose of conducting parent-teacher conferences. The building principal and staff shall cooperatively plan parent-teacher conferences that align with the adopted school calendar. These conferences shall include the opportunity for parents to meet with teachers in the evening.
Conference Time. Those employees who are scheduled to work on-site during a single night parent-teacher conference will not be required to report to work on the next normal work day and will suffer no loss of pay. Employees assigned to work during a multiple night parent-teacher conference will not be required to report to work on the next normal work day following conclusion of the conference and will suffer no loss of pay.
