Common use of Successful Bidder Clause in Contracts

Successful Bidder. 1. Within ten (10) days after the closing date of the bid, local management shall post a notice stating the successful bidder and seniority date. The senior qualified bidder meeting the qualification standards established for the position shall be designated the “successful bidder.” 2. The successful bidder must be placed in the new assignment as soon as practicable, but no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of the announcement of the successful bidder. 3. Normally, the successful bidder shall work the duty assignment as posted. Unless unusual circumstances exist (and the Union is advised), employees will not be required to work in another installation except on a voluntary basis. However, the parties understand that Operating Services employees may be assigned temporarily to work at Headquarters related facilities in the area.
